ITINERARY
Day 1: Mendoza (760m) Reception in Mendoza / Accommodation in a 3-star hotel. In the afternoon, there will be an informative talk about Aconcagua and the guides will review your equipment. Time to rent or purchase any necessary gear.
Day 2: Mendoza / Penitentes-Puente del Inca (2725m) Permit acquisition. Transfer to Penitentes-Puente Del Inca. Accommodation in a hotel. Preparation of mule loads. (B, PL, D)
Day 3: Penitentes / Pampa de Leña (2888m) Transfer to the park entrance. Trekking to Pampa de Leña Camp. You will only carry your backpack, our mules will carry your personal equipment. (B, PL, D)
Day 4: Pampa de Leña / Casa de Piedra (3239m) / (B, PL, C)
Day 5: Casa de Piedra / Plaza de Argentina (4171m) Trek to Base Camp Plaza Argentina. Accommodation at the base camp. You will only carry your backpack, our mules will carry your personal equipment. (B, PL, D)
Day 6: Plaza Argentina (4171m) Rest day. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Plaza Argentina / Campo 1 (4900m) Acclimatization hike and transportation of supplies to Campo 1. Lunch and return to Base Camp. (B, PL, D)
Day 8: Plaza Argentina (4171m) Rest day. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Plaza Argentina / Campo 1 (4900m) Ascent to Campo 1. Setting up tents and rest. You will carry personal equipment and additional supplies, if necessary. Our porters will carry the tents, garbage, kitchen items, and first aid kits. (B, PL, D)
Day 10: Campo 1 / Campo 2 / Campo 1 Acclimatization hike and transportation of supplies to Campo 2. Lunch and return to Campo 1. (B, PL, C)
Day 11: Campo 1 / Campo 2 (5500m) Ascent to Campo 2. Setting up tents and rest. You will carry personal equipment and additional supplies, if necessary. Our porters will carry the tents, garbage, kitchen items, and first aid kits. (B, PL, D)
Day 12: Campo 2 (5500m) Rest day. Practice with crampons. (B, L, D)
Day 13: Campo 2 (5500m) / Campo 3 Cólera (6000m) Ascent to Campo 3 – Cólera. Setting up tents and rest. Equipment check for the summit push. You will carry personal equipment and additional supplies, if necessary. Our porters will carry the tents, garbage, and first aid kits. (B, PL, D)
Day 14: Campo 3 Cólera / SUMMIT (6962m) / Campo 3 Summit day! Ascend from Cólera to the SUMMIT!!! and return to Campo 3. (D, PL, D)
Day 15: Campo 3 Cólera / Plaza de Mulas Base Camp (4260m) Descend to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp. You will carry your personal equipment and additional supplies. Our porters will carry the tents, garbage, and first aid kits. (B, PL, D)
Day 16: Plaza de Mulas / Mendoza Descend to Penitentes. You will only carry your backpack, our mules will carry your personal equipment. Transfer to our Lodge in Mendoza. Accommodation. (D, PL, D)
Day 17: Penitentes / Mendoza Breakfast. Transfer to the city of Mendoza in our private transportation. (B)
Day 18: Extra day for contingencies such as adverse weather that hinders the normal progress of the program. (B, L, D)
